What is Care2Connect?

Care2Connect is an initiative of the California Southern Baptist Convention designed to engage you and others in the ministry activities that are transforming lives across California and around the world. It is an opportunity for individuals and groups to join in work that meets the physical and spiritual needs of others. It is an opportunity to join in the work of Hope that is already taking place because of gifts by SBC churches to the Cooperative Program.

Why was Care2Connect created?

Care2Connect arose out of the revelation to CSBC leadership that many individuals desire to participate directly and financially support those ministries and projects that God has put on their heart. Statistics tell us that on average people give to four or five different charitable causes above and beyond the gifts to their local church. Care2Connect was created to respond to your desires to give, and make our appeal for those gifts the statistical evidence suggests are already being given. Have your four or five causes come to your mind yet? Use the Categories filter to view those needs that fit the causes you are already committed to supporting.

What Care2Connect is NOT.

Care2Connect is not an attempt to take away the gifts to your church or your cooperative program giving through your church. This is the first and most important place we give, but this is just the beginning.

What is the Cooperative Program?

California churches work together through the California Southern Baptist Convention to support a wide array of ministries and missions including: evangelism efforts, volunteer missions, missions education, new churches, California Baptist University, collegiate ministries, camps, and much more. Are you a "not for profit" organization?

Yes. California Southern Baptist Convention is a 501(c)(3). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. To preserve the tax deductibility of your contributions, CSBC maintains the ability to use the funds you contribute in its sole discretion. We are committed to use your funds in ways consistent with your project gift.

Are you a Christian organization?

Yes, we are a Christian organization committed to helping California Southern Baptist churches as they fulfill the Great Commandment and Great Commission. For additional information concerning the CSBC, log on to www.csbc.com and click on “About Us” tab at the top of the page.

If I help fund a need, will I hear about how things are progressing?

Yes. Project leaders provide updates on the needs and the impact on the community. You can see these updates as you check back with us and click on needs you’ve donated to.

How do you choose which needs and projects to put on the site?

As ministry leaders tell us about the needs of people that they are trying to supply, we often hear that they are lacking resources, or have barriers that hinder the fulfillment of those needs. We compile that information here for your help in providing those resources and removing those barriers so lives are transformed.

Can I stay involved by funding another need?

Yes. We always have more needs than we can meet! Please fund as many needs as you can. You can also use the Group Giving function to invite your friends to participate with you. Join your passions for change in our communities. It is sometimes difficult to measure a life transformed, but the reality of transformation is undeniable.

Is this site secure, and is my credit card safe?

Absolutely. Your information is safely encrypted and we partner with Google Checkout for all credit card processing. Your giving transaction is immediately verified and documented by email to you.

Why do you use Google Checkout?

Google Checkout is safe, secure, easy, and free for us to use! That allows even more of your donation to go to transforming the lives of those in need.
