Nationally there is one Southern Baptist church for about every 7,000 people, but California has only one Southern Baptist church for every 17,000 residents. Millions in California do not have a personal relationship with Jesus.
A few years ago, pastor Dewayne Birdsong believed God called him to plant a church in the San Francisco Bay area. He gathered his friends and began a weekly Bible study group in his home. The group quickly grew as he shared his vision of making an impact on the community. Now more than 50 people attend Restoration Baptist Church.
